Is there a Google Workspace certificate? I found some certificates provided by Google, but those aren't related to the apps specifically. I find classes here and there for each individual app, but haven't found one that covers all the Google apps with a certificate at the end. I will appreciate if you help me with this.

I do a lot of volunteer charity work for very small organisations to help them get online. Sometimes I might offer to set up a Gmail proxy (not the forwarding option) to use their own domain. This is only for very small clubs and organisations who can't afford the per user subscription to Google Workspace - I'm talking really small NP organisations only that have to scrape money together to keep their community clubs running. The solution I use is for those that are too small to set up as a charity organisation and register as a non-profit charity that is necessary to apply for the free Workspace subscription offered by Google. When I offer this solution, I will tell them I take no responsibility for their organisation's security & privacy obligations. I do wish Google would offer a community/club Workspace plan (less that the Starter plan) that was affordable to small clubs and non-charity NP organisations - something like a 3 user limit, using own domain, and 15Gb storage per user just so that they could have an email for their President, Secretary and Treasurer, and set at a budget price of around AUD $4-$5 per user per month. It would be a great way for clubs to get started on Workspace and prepare them for scaling up to the Business plans as they grow.

Hello Pete, great video. I have a question regarding a holding company that owns multiple brands / businesses. Is it better to go with an add-on domain or alias domain? The staff members are shared amongst all of the brands and therefore, it would be costly having multiple user licenses for one member of staff. Now, at the same time, we do not want to confuse our customers across all of the brands. I was thinking of adding all of the domains as add-on domains to the main holding company Google Workspace account and thereafter, create a group for each member in each brand to link directly to their main holding company account and when they receive emails, it will be directly linked to their inbox and if they wanted to send out emails from that particular brand, we can add a "send out" account which is for the brand they are working on. Besides this, we are hardcore with Google products and therefore, we use Google Workspace for all brands to keep everything online and accessible at all times. The question here is, is it better to create 1 Google Shared drive for each brand and inside it add all of the departments and share with them with member or is it better better to create 1 Google Shared drive for each department and share it with the members in question? Agreed. I've been waiting for this drop for about a year now, and I was telling people it was going to be huge. It's completley pointless and actually get's in the way. Gemini is an LLM I would never even think of using anyway. Claude Opus and a handful of Open Source models (and GPT4o occassionally) is a perfect combo. SOOO glad they gave a trial of this not payemnt upfront.
